Semi is down: We are working hard to get this awesome truck back online

Today it’s been hard. Mack (the semi truck or vacuum truck) started blowing smoke and missing really badly. I thank God and my truck that it didn’t break down in the field. That it made it back to the truck yard.

I had to buy some more tools but I have been diagnosing this problem all afternoon.

So. It’s beginning to look like a blown fuel injection pump. It’s only $5,100.00. Awesome. But I have contacts to get a rebuilt one a bit less expensive. But to be sure that’s the problem I gonna start with the least expensive solution first. Rebuilt the injector nozzles. If that doesn’t solve the problem, well, they needed rebuilt anyways. Then new injector pump it is. Whew. At least there is a plan now. Now back to balancing books.

You know. A business owner has to be an accountant. Bookkeeper. Accounts payable, Account receivable. Receptionist. Scheduler. Head diesel mechanic, parts runner, septic pumper, septic inspector, septic repairman. Jeez. did I miss anything. What hat am I putting on now? Or what hat in the morning? Why does one do this to themselves?

Yep, you guessed it. Its time for a vacation real soon. 🙂

I thank God I can fix this. i stare at my engine and think, “All of my training has led me to this moment, this problem. And I will solve this.”

  1. I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.
